Outdoor Extended Family by the River
Choosing the right color scheme for your outdoor extended family photos
Doing our own outdoor extended family photos is a circus! Fun and a little chaotic. First we start with choosing a color scheme for our clothing- its always heavy on neutrals, and one that will look great when its printed & hanging in my parents home. We send the whole family the color scheme, and when we’re together we lay everything out on a bed or table, and then piece together each outfit mixing and matching accessories until we get it juuuust right! For this portrait we chose a chambray blue, navy, blush and denim color scheme. It worked great for a large group because many of us had multiple clothing options in those colors.
The natural rocky riverbed was the perfect natural setting.
